Lisa’s Story
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Lisa grew up on 70’s FM radio sounds. Drawn to the soulful sounds of Hall and Oates, The Stylistics, and Elton John, Lisa’s musical identity began to take shape. After discovering the Beatles at age 11, her love affair with music officially began. Acquiring her first guitar that same year, she took to the instrument immediately and proficiently. She scored her first gigs while still in high school, making a name for herself in clubs around the city.
Before long, Lisa moved to Nashville, TN, where she cultivated her unique sound and talent. Shortly after, Lisa relocated to Atlanta, GA, where she teamed up with singer, guitarist, and songwriter Lisa Durand. Christian/Durand went on to play the Atlanta Summer Olympics in 1996 and Lilith Fair in 1998. In addition, they recorded albums at EMI Recording Studios in Nashville and in Muscle Shoals with Jimmy Johnson.
Lisa’s original music has aired on PBS and been used in independent films.
Lisa has also opened for notable artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Sarah McLachlan, Queen Latifah, Tony Joe White, America, Marty Stuart, and others.
She also, proudly, performed at her 8th grade talent show and senior prom.
